Book Review: The Crescent by Jordan Deen

Book 1: The Crecent
This book had me right from the beginning. Right in the first few chapters I was gripped with excitment and intrigue. The Story is based on a war between to enemy wolf packs, a world that The main character Lacey seems to stumble into. She befriends a new Student named Alex and things become hot and heavy pretty quickly between the tow...a little too quickly. When Lacey meets another young mysterious boy her world changes once again when she feels a strong conection to him, making her question what she has with Alex. This book is filled with mystery, lies and Romance; life is changing ffor Lacey and she doesnt know what to do and who to love. Her heart feels one thing and her head another and when the truth is finally shown to her, it can mean life and death for Lacey.
The book was good all the way through, with action and love wrapping it's way into every turn, the only downside was the ending which in most cases is how it is...the book was left with a pretty big cliffhanger. Though most of the questions have answers the ending also brings up a few more questions in turn.
Pretty good book overall and I recommend it to any fans of werewolves out there, and I'm looking forward to Book 2 Half Moon.

Book Review: The Resurrection of Magic Series by Kathleen Duey

Skin Hunger--Book 1

This book was...different to start. I don't want to say that it was slow at first because that's not the right word for it. It was deffinitly difficult to get into at first. The Story covers two different points of view and also is set in different times. The first storyline surrounds the main character named Sadima. Her life is set in a time when magic isn't around, in a time of kings. In her story she encounters different people and different lives.
Now the second storyline surrounds the main character of Hahp. A young boy sent off to learn magic in a school of wizardry that doesn't really act as a school but more like a fight for life, where none of the boys may survive. This story is set in the future comapred to Sadima's life...which is how I found it difficult at first to get into. By the end I just wanted more and when I finished I HAD to pick up book 2.

Sacred Scars--Book 2
Now starting this book I obviously knew what I was getting into, the writing stays the same and coming into this book I was deffinitly enjoying it!
The storylines are still the same. With Sadima her life takes a crazy unexpected turn, and I found myself hungry to know what happens to her. New characters are brought into play, and the twists and turns are wonderful to read.
With Hahp, his progression through his studies is painful along with the other boys. I hate feeling sorry for them but I do. Gerrard comes into this story a bit more and you start to learn a bit more about his life or I guess personality. The wizards start acting strange and it makes you wonder what they could possibly be up to.
By the end of the book once again I wanted more but unfortunately the continuation isn't available yet :(
The only downside about the ending was that when both stories ended, neither of them really ended. Both stories built up and just opened for more questions with minimal answers. The benefit of this ending....It makes you want more!
