Wildefire Review

WILDEFIRE by Karsten Knight

Wildefire is an intensely brilliant read. It's an emotional ride that leaves you guessing at every turn.

Wildefire is about the life of Ash and Eve Wilde. Two Polynesian sisters that were adopted as kids, they are similar in many ways but the one thing that makes them different is one's good and one's evil.
As Ash tries to fit in at her school, her life gets turned upside-down when she finds out her boyfriend cheated on her, and her missing sister comes back at that moment to step back into her life.  Eve takes drastic measures to exact revenge for Ash and because of her violent behavior Ash is forced to relocate to a remote private school out in the woods of California.

As the memory of that tragic night still haunts her, Ash tries her best to move on in her new school; making friends and dating again, she believes that her life has finally settled down. Being isolated in a far away school away from her past and her sister (who once again went MIA) has allowed Ash to begin a new life. She's now the captain of her schools tennis team, and along with new friends she never thought she would hang out with she also has a park ranger boyfriend that will do anything to keep her happy.

When Ash finds out from a fellow student; who just so happens to be a siren, that she along with some other students at Blackwood are actually Gods and Godesses she doesn't know how to react. Ash is thrown into a world of mystery and power, the other Gods have all shown some sort of ability but Ash feels that when it comes to her a mistake had been made; she has no powers and has never shown them in her life. As Ash tries to get a grip on reality her sister shows up at her new school to stir up some trouble, and Ash soon realizes that she has some abilities of her own, but Eve also has information.

According to an unknown source the life the Gods are living are not their first, they have been reincarnated for centuries but now a new threat is coming for them and threatening their ability to come back after they die. With Eve lurking in the darkness of the redwoods surrounding Ash's school, Ash must find a way to defend those she cares for, she must tap into the fire buring deep within her and learn her power before it's too late.

A clash between the Gods and a war between sisters makes Wildefire an exceptional ride from beginning to end. There's something new on every chapter and when you get to the end you'll wish there was more! The Ending is a fantastic twist that leaves you wiith your mouth hanging open.

A must read for the summer! Get your copy on July 26, 2011.
